Joe Biden has received backlash after his office snubbed the idea of a post-Brexit UK-US trade deal.
US Trade Representative Katherine Tai yesterday, on Tuesday, said a free trade agreement is a “very 20th century tool”.
She added: “I want to ensure the conversations and the approaches that we bring today, especially with the pressures that were facing, are maximally responsive so that we don’t spend years and spend a lot of blood, sweat and tears working on something that isn’t going to be relevant to the needs of our people and our economies.”
But Express.co.uk readers suggested Mr Biden’s approach didn’t matter anyway, suggesting he won’t be elected for another term in the White House.
John2430 wrote: “No problem, Biden’s chances of second term are next to none.”
DBXX added: “Pointless bothering with Biden he won’t be around long.
“He’s managed to reduce US to a nonentity.”
