Everton star Richarlison's agent in Paris for PSG talks after 'Neymar requests transfer'

Richarlison’s agent Giuliano Bertolucci landed in Paris yesterday to start negotiations with PSG over his client Richarlison. The French giants are now expected to move for the Toffees’ Olympic gold medalist as they look to find a replacement for the departing Kylian Mbappe.

The Frenchman is poised to join Real Madrid in a deal worth £138million after Los Blancos upped their initial offer for the PSG forward.

Mbappe is now understood to be heading to the Spanish capital, with PSG reluctant to keep the player against his will after he told his team-mates and the board he wanted to leave.

Now the French giants need to move quickly to bring in his replacement with only a few days left of the transfer window, which closes on August 31.

According to Sky Germany, Bertolucci travelled straight to Paris yesterday after finalising his other client Matheus Cunha’s transfer to Atletico Madrid from Hertha Berlin.

Before the start of last season, Richarlison outlined his desire to potentially leave Goodison Park but he was convinced to stay by Carlo Ancelotti, who asked him to give him one more year.

“I spoke to Ancelotti and said that I have a dream of playing the Champions League,” Richarlison told CBF TV last October.

“He asked me to stay another year, to hold, that we’d get there. This year, reinforcements arrived and we started the Premier League with everything. Let’s see what happens.”

Everton would finish 11th before Ancelotti returned to Real Madrid, who have also been linked with Richarlison this transfer window.

Yet their move for Mbappe could now deal Everton a huge blow right at the end of the transfer window.

Brighton’s Neal Maupay is reportedly one possible target but as it stands, Everton are currently restricted by FFP regulations.

The sale of Richarlison would give them cash to reinvest though and the future of Moise Kean could also prove significant in the coming days.

Kean has been considered by the likes of Juventus and Atletico Madrid this summer but if Richarlison leaves, the Italian could finally step up to play alongside Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
