‘Fool's errand!' Dr Shola rages at Kate and William as they touch down in Jamaica

Dr Shola Mos-Shogbamimu raged at the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge as they arrived in the Caribbean country yesterday for the second leg of their tour. The commentator tweeted: “Read the room William and Kate. You’re on a fool’s errand.”

Dr Mos-Shogbamimu has been regularly tweeting about William and Kate during their eight-day Caribbean tour.

In a post on Tuesday, she fumed: “Jamaica Govt will commence the removal of the Queen as Head of State once the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge leave.

“#RoyalTourCaribbean is an utter failure.

“Times have changed and the tide has turned.

“This #PlatinumJubilee tour is tone deaf.

“British Monarchy faces a reckoning.”

The Cambridges kicked off their Caribbean tour to mark the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee in Belize over the weekend.

The couple are in Jamaica for the second stop where they are celebrating the culture and history of the island.

On the fourth day of their tour, William and Kate visited music legend Bob Marley’s house and met Jamaica’s sporting greats.

They tried out a bobsleigh made for two under the watchful eye of Jamaica’s latest Cool Runnings team.

The future king also played with one of his sporting heroes, England and Manchester City striker Raheem Sterling, in a match with local young footballers.

In contrast to the angry scenes outside the embassy, during the royals’ Trench Town visit there were screams of delight as the Duke attempted to keep up with Kingston-born Sterling.

William and Kate will head to The Bahamas for the third leg of their royal tour.
