Strictly Come Dancing have confirmed Kym Marsh will not take place in next week’s live show after testing positive for coronavirus. The Coronation Street star and Graziano Di Prima are expected to return to the dance floor the following Saturday.
A Strictly spokesperson said: “Kym Marsh has tested positive for Covid-19. As a result, Kym and Graziano will not be taking part in Strictly Come Dancing this weekend.
“Strictly Come Dancing protocols mean that all being well, they will return the following week.”
This is the first time this year that a celebrity has had to pull out of the live show after testing positive for coronavirus.
However, Graziano has experienced this situation before when he was partnered with Judi Love in 2021.

She avoided the dance off having been saved by the public vote, and viewers will be disappointed to hear she will not dance this weekend.
This is not the first time she has fallen ill this season, as at the start of November she was replaced on Morning Live.
She revealed she had caught a bug and had hoped to make a speedy recovery so she could dance with Graziano.
At the time she said: “She said: “I’m all right, I just caught a little bug off one of the children, unfortunately.
“I caught it yesterday on the train on the way home so that was nice.”
Strictly Come Dancing fans took to Twitter to share their concern for the Coronation Street star.
@mkmswain tweeted: “Ooh, no Kym on #Strictly this Saturday: she’s tested positive for Covid. She’ll hopefully be back next week.”
@sylvia_luisa added: “Just heard about Kym Marsh – really hope it hasn’t spread any further as they haven’t been distancing this series and were all very close in Blackpool! Hope she’s not too poorly and that no one else catches it! #Strictly.”
Strictly Come Dancing airs on BBC One on Saturday at 7.15pm.
