Lewis Hamilton admits Ferrari dream and answers calls to switch from Mercedes

    “This is the only team in the history of the sport where you’re a long-life family member, the older greats have been a part of the Mercedes brand for their whole life, you’re a part of the road of evolution, they include you in the family forever.

    “That’s loyalty, which I have tattooed, and it’s such an important value to me.”

    Hamilton put pen to paper ahead of the Austrian Grand Prix in July, committing a further two years to the team.

    It means the Briton will be just shy of his 39th birthday when the contract comes to an end in 2023, alongside George Russell, who replaces the outgoing Valtteri Bottas at the team next season.
