The Duke of Sussex’s tell-all book is due out later this year. Kinsey Schofield, founder of the ToDiForDaily website, said Harry will use the memoir to brand himself as a leader in the US like the former US President, who released his own bestselling biography in 2020.
The LA-based royal commentator said: “What I think he’s trying to do is brand himself as a Mark Zuckerberg, Barack Obama — some guy that can get $100,000 dollars for a speech in Miami to a bunch of rich dudes.
“I think he is trying to brand himself as a leader in the United States and will use his book to try to do that.
“He wanted to try to rewrite his story and to be this phoenix rising from the ashes.
“That is the route I think he is going to go.”
Harry is living in the US with Meghan Markle after quitting royal duties in March 2020.
He announced plans last year for his book, which is being published by Penguin Random House and due to be released in late 2022.
The Duke said: “I’m writing this not as the prince I was born but as the man I have become.
“I’ve worn many hats over the years, both literally and figuratively, and my hope is that in telling my story – the highs and lows, the mistakes, the lessons learned – I can help show that no matter where we come from, we have more in common than we think.
“I’m deeply grateful for the opportunity to share what I’ve learned over the course of my life so far and excited for people to read a first hand account of my life that’s accurate and wholly truthful.”
The royals are likely to be braced for fresh claims from Harry following his and Meghan’s infamous Oprah Winfrey interview in March 2021.
The TV interview plunged the monarchy into crisis with the couple making a series of explosive claims.
Speculation has been high over the content of Harry’s upcoming book.
A source last month said that the prospect of the biography should make the Royal Family “nervous”.
The insider told Page Six: “There’s a lot of new stories in there about the past that Harry has not spoken about before, about his childhood … there is some content in there that should make his family nervous.”
Harry and Meghan quit as working royals for new lives of personal and financial freedom across the pond.
The couple are living in California with their two children Archie and Lilibet.
