Strictly Come Dancing fans left divided as elimination result leaked hours before show

On Saturday night, six couples took to the dancefloor to try and earn a spot in the quarter-finals. With the competition amping up, some celebrities managed to impress the panel far more than others. However, with the elimination results being leaked ahead of the show airing on Sunday evening, it seems the judge’s decision has split viewers’ opinions.

With the final of Strictly Come Dancing drawing closer, the stakes are higher than ever for the last remaining couples in the competition.

Trying to impress judges Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, Shirley Ballas and Anton Du Beke, each dancing duo put everything they had into their routines to try and score high on the leaderboard.

Although with the live show and results being filmed on the same evening, those sitting in the audience are able to find out ahead of the public who has been sent home.

With a source leaking on social media who has left the competition this week, it seems many fans are divided by the choice.

Although last weekend saw the first perfect score of the series from Fleur East and Vito Coppolo, the duo received a slightly lower mark of 35 on Saturday evening.

Their score landed them third on the current leaderboard putting them in a joint position with Molly Rainford and Carlos Gu.

At the bottom end of the scale, comedian Ellie Taylor and Johannes Radebe found themselves unable to get into the 30s region as they were given 25 for their Jive.

However, on the top end of the scale, actor Will Mellor Nancy Xu dominated the show with a near-perfect 38.

Not far behind, wildlife cameraman Hamza Yassin and Jowita Przystal were given 38 with head judge Shirley having nothing but praise for them both.

When it came to giving their feedback, she told the duo: “You are amazing!

“I just wish I could dance with you, you make this lady [Jowita] shine and that is what dancing for me is about, well done.”

Strictly Come Dancing continues Sunday on BBC One at 6pm.
