Tammy Abraham has been added to the England squad for their World Cup qualifying clashes with Andorra and Hungary after a sensational start to his Roma career. The 24-year-old has started every Serie A game for his new club this season after arriving in the Italian capital this summer.
Abraham, who has won six caps for his country, could be in line for his first England appearance since coming off the bench in the UEFA Nations League victory over Iceland last November.
The striker’s call-up is apparently an addition to the England squad, with Abraham not thought to be replacing anyone in Gareth Southgate’s original squad.
It means England will now have 24 players in their squad as they look to build on their unbeaten start to their World Cup qualifying campaign.
