It seems like many people aren’t ready to say goodbye to Tom Brady’s playing days just yet.
After rumors swirled that the seven-time Super Bowl champion might be returning to football yet again, Brady had a clear response.
“Anyone who thinks I have time to come back to the NFL has never adopted a 2 month old kitten for their daughter,” he clapped back on Twitter.
Brady did, in fact, adopt not just one, but two cats for his daughter, Vivian, from the Humane Society of Tampa Bay where he quietly volunteered with his children during his time with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Between being a cat dad, a motorsport sponsor and a movie producer, Brady’s schedule appears to be full.

Brady’s post was in response to rumblings from the NFL combine, which was held this past weekend. He quote-tweeted NFL reporter Dov Kleiman, who shared Rich Eisen’s report that “Folks are saying keep an eye” on the Miami Dolphins as a team that Brady would return with.
The former quarterback has also been linked to the Las Vegas Raiders, who are seeking a replacement for Derek Carr. But head coach Josh McDaniels acknowledged that Brady was “at peace” with hanging up his cleats.
Even before officially announcing he was leaving the game, Brady said on his “Let’s Go!” podcast that he was using the 2023 offseason to spend time with his family, even as the dropoff from a season was difficult.
“I did a lot of things with my kids and family, trying to get caught up like most probably football players do at the end of a long season,” he said. “There’s a lot of decompression. I know we use that word a lot, but there is a real crash landing element to all of this and doing it for as long as I have, there’s no soft landing either. It ends and it’s over. As much as you’d love for something to be a little softer on the way out, it’s just not the reality.”
Brady re-retired in February after finishing 8-9 and being knocked out of the wild-card round of the playoffs by the Dallas Cowboys. He first retired exactly a year prior, but came back for his 23rd season.
